Stephen received his first opportunity to work with a major infrastructure and civil construction company while studying Construction Management at LSU. He became an Impetus Project Manager in 2015 and now, as Infrastructure Team Leader in New Orleans, he leads a team of 53 employees in talent development, relentless pursuit of lean project delivery, and production systems that deliver repeated excellence across our diverse client base.
Stephen’s most fond memory at Impetus was the construction of the Phase II Sculpture Garden in City Park for the New Orleans Museum of Art. The project combined all of Impetus’ expertise – Commercial, Civil, Carpentry, and Concrete – to create a one-of-a-kind project.
Jason has over 20 years of civil construction experience including deep underground drain, water, sewer, and box culvert installation. He has worked on many projects throughout his career ranging from $1,000,000 to $10,000,000 for both public entities and commercial owners.
Jason ensures that the day to day operations on Impetus’ civil projects are performed safely, productively, and according to the specifications. He monitors the project schedule and ensures compliance. He also manages the equipment that is needed for each project so that there are no time delays.
Fun fact: Jason and his family are beekeepers and produce some of the best honey in Louisiana!
Nathan is a construction management professional with over 20 years of experience in all stages of civil construction from preconstruction to closeout. He has bid and managed projects ranging from $100K to $10M for both public and private sector clients throughout south Louisiana.
Since becoming a Renegade in 2016, Nathan has become a leader amongst Impetus’ civil team, excelling in all facets of the construction industry from business development to estimating to operations. His expertise in managing a wide range of projects including demolition, commercial civil, municipal roadwork, site remediation, storm drainage, site utilities, and concrete paving. Nathan’s leadership and commitment has contributed to the incredible growth of Impetus’ civil division. As Senior Estimator, Nathan’s responsibilities include developing and maintaining Impetus’ civil construction work pipeline by building meaningful client relationships and aligning self-perform strategic advantages with current market trends.
Nathan’s commitment to the community shines through involvement with Hogs for the Cause where he has raised over $100,000 in the past five years to benefit pediatric brain cancer. A graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Initiative (NORLI), he also dedicates time to mentoring other professionals as a NORLI board member. He is currently serving in his second three-year term on the selection committee while also leading the alumni engagement committee.
Brett joined Impetus in 2015 to establish and lead the company’s Self-Perform divisions: Civil, Concrete, and Carpentry. He is responsible for diversifying the company’s service areas and growing a team of top talent, cementing Impetus as a true builder. He serves as Safety Committee Chair, overseeing Impetus’ best-in-class safety management practices, and manages Impetus’ warehouse and construction equipment. Always on the move with his hands in multiple projects, Brett challenges traditional construction practices in order to build something better.
The greatest reward to Brett is bringing the work full circle through the company’s community initiatives. He is an active volunteer with ACE Mentor, and regularly hosts student groups for educational jobsite tours. Brett is from River Ridge, LA and holds a degree in Marketing, Management, & Business Admin from the University of New Orleans. He is a board member of Louisiana Associated General Contractors and the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) class of 2020. Brett was named Ones to Watch: Construction by New Orleans CityBusiness in 2017.
As Field Leader, Trevor manages all aspects of Impetus’ onsite construction operations. In addition to daily jobsite visits, safety training and quality control, Trevor also coaches and mentors field team members on the Impetus approach to communication, coordination and pre-planning.
One of the first employees to join Impetus in 2013, Trevor brings over 30 years of field leadership experience. He enjoys the collaborative atmosphere at Impetus and working alongside a talented team to solve complex construction challenges. Ever the renegade, Trevor’s motto is: “Don’t ever stop being you.”
Trevor has a pet duck named Baby.
Glen began his construction career in 1998 as a carpenter. His commitment, drive, and leadership earned him promotions through the field operations career path to his current role of Field Team Leader. Over his 21-year career in the construction industry, he developed vast knowledge of construction materials and critical methods in all types of commercial construction. He has managed all aspects of field operations on diverse project types including healthcare, entertainment, multi-family, hospitality, retail, warehouse, and banking facility projects ranging in size from $1,000,000 to $100,000,000.
An Impetus Renegade since February 2014, Glen is a proven team leader with a track record of integrity, excellent customer service, quality work, efficient project delivery, and an impeccable safety record. He is currently leading the curriculum and training of Impetus’ LEAN Practices & Last Planner System program. Glen’s capabilities, talents, and determination to help his teams succeed make him a great asset to Impetus.
Erin Comeaux is a results-oriented, hands-on construction professional with over 16 years of experience in multiple facets of the construction industry. Her dedication and positive attitude have made her an asset to the Impetus team since becoming a Renegade in 2016.
As Project Executive, Erin is responsible for the oversight of multiple complex projects including overall coordination, schedule, and budget management for the entire project’s duration. She consistently strives to produce a successful project and build lasting relationships with owners and team stakeholders.
Erin is committed to coaching her teams and leading them to success. Her ability to keep projects on schedule, adapt to logistical challenges, resolve unforeseen issues, and strategize solutions has positioned Erin as a true Renegade leader and mentor.
As Regional Growth Leader, Craig’s focus is expanding Impetus’ business across the Southeast. Having spent the last 18 years building his career in construction, most recently as the President of a successful Virginia-based general contractor where he was responsible for more than tripling its annual revenue and expanding its operations into three new markets, Craig has an extensive knowledge base in growing and scaling companies.
A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Building Construction program, Craig is a lifelong learner. He has participated in a variety of FMI leadership training opportunities, regularly serves as a guest lecturer at Virginia Tech, and is an active member of Young President’s Organization, the Construction Industry Network and Lean Construction Institute.
As Impetus’ COO, Nick develops and leads the execution of innovative and transformational strategies to maintain peak performance and ensure raving fans in the various markets in which Impetus operates. One of Impetus’ earliest employees, Nick’s expertise extends through many departments within the organization, including business development, preconstruction, project execution, strategy and talent development.
Nick is driven by the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than himself – working with an organization that challenges tradition, builds lasting landmarks, and gives back to the community. His favorite aspect of working at Impetus is collaborating with a team of renegades who are uniquely qualified to deliver high-quality services, and who relentlessly pursue value for the customer. His personal motto: “Work hard. The rest is in God’s hands.”
Nick is from New Orleans, LA and holds a degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. He has served as a mentor in the New Orleans chapter of the ACE Mentor Program, served two terms on the Greater New Orleans Inc.’s NextGen Council, and is a member of LSU’s Construction Industry Advisory Council. Nick was named to ENR Texas & Louisiana’s Top Young Professionals class of 2020.
Nick is one of 27 grandchildren – small Italian family.
An Impetus renegade since 2014, Brad previously led Impetus’ commercial project management teams and the division’s operational process and procedures. As Market Leader, Brad ensures the success of the New Orleans commercial building division and maintains P&L responsibility.
Always cool under pressure, Brad brings a “whatever it takes” mentality to solving complex construction challenges and finds reward working alongside this band of renegades.
A native of Metairie, LA, Brad graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Construction Management and has worked in commercial operations since 2006. Brad was named to the Excellence in Construction and Real Estate Class of 2019 by New Orleans CityBusiness and is a member of the Lean Construction Institute New Orleans Community of Practice.
Brad won a state basketball free throw competition at the age of 10, making a record 24 out of 25 free throws. He’s been riding the wave of glory ever since.
Joe leads Impetus’ Relentless Pursuit team, developing creative strategies to drive the most value before a project ever breaks ground. He closely engages with clients, designers, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure preconstruction efforts maintain forward, positive progression and that goals are achieved. A skilled problem solver who challenges traditional construction practices, Joe analyzes all options to ensure no stone is left unturned and that projects are set up for success.
The tangible results of Impetus’ approach serve as a key motivator for Joe. He enjoys working with a solutions-focused team and never rests until the job is done right. An Impetus renegade since 2014, Joe is from New Orleans, LA and holds a degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. He was named to the New Orleans CityBusiness Excellence in Construction and Real Estate class of 2019 and is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors, New Orleans/Bayou Chapter Board of Directors.
With his contagious team spirit and glass-half-full outlook, Joe is Impetus’ resident corporate cheerleader. You can find him leading chants at company meetings.
As Corporate Counsel for Impetus, Erika brings 24 years of construction experience and focuses on providing sound solutions that allow Impetus to continuously reach new heights. She is responsible for contract negotiation, risk management, and maintaining organizational practices and procedures.
Raised in a New Orleans construction family – her grandfather was a developer and contractor, and her father was a general contractor – she is known for her integrity, professionalism, and willingness to be a team player. An Impetus renegade since 2019, Erika enjoys the diverse, complex challenges that construction presents, and takes a direct, hands-on approach to driving solutions in order to build something better.
Erika received her JD from Southern University Law Center, graduating Cum Laude. She has been admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal District Courts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University and is a Notary Public.

Daren graduated from De La Salle High School in 1985 and went on to play baseball at Delgado Community College. After college he started working for NAPA as a delivery driver and was shortly promoted to store manager and remained in that position for 23 years. He then took on the role of regional manager for the next 9 years until he began working for Impetus. During his years at NAPA, he mentored countless managers on all aspects of running the daily operations of a store. He also served on a panel at corporate headquarters to develop a dispatch system and an asset protection program that was implemented nationwide. Although a newcomer to the construction industry, these skills have led him to fit right in at Impetus as the equipment and logistics manager as he coordinates the overall management of the Impetus warehouses and equipment.

As Impetus’ Administration Leader, Tanya leads talent development programs that drive the growth of the organization, directs construction administration, and implements initiatives for the Palmisano Foundation. With a focus on inspiring and nurturing Impetus’ culture through frequent company-wide interaction and employee experience initiatives, Tanya’s personal philosophy is, “The more passionate you are about the things you do, the more impact you will create.”
Tanya joined Impetus in 2014, bringing 20 years of construction experience to this band of renegades. A native of Carriere, MS, Tanya studied Business Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, and received the Junior Achievement Champion Award in 2019. She is an active member in the Associated Builders and Contractors New Orleans/Bayou Chapter and a graduate of the Leadership St. Tammany class of 2019.
An avid reader, Tanya has read every John Grisham novel ever written – a total of 32!
As Impetus’ Finance Leader, David is a trusted steward over the company’s assets and resources. David drives valuable growth-oriented solutions for Impetus through collaboration, risk management, analysis, and logic.
An Impetus renegade since 2016, David brings over 30 years of accounting knowledge and enjoys working with a team of like-minded professionals who share the same mission. Originally from Bisbee, Arizona, David holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Arizona.
Although he may seem like the “typical accountant,” David does have a bit of wild and crazy side that sometimes takes people by surprise. He is also an avid follower of world motorsports, like Formula 1 and MotoGP.
Wesley J. Palmisano grew up in a construction family. His grandfather founded W.J. Palmisano Contractors in 1950. Following in his grandfather, father, and uncles’ footsteps, Wesley was inspired from an early age. He studied Construction Management at Louisiana State University, where he not only completed the four year degree in three years but also graduated first in his class and Summa Cum Laude, then spent over a decade building and managing large-scale construction projects.
In 2013, Wesley founded Impetus (formerly Palmisano) with the vision to create a new kind of construction company — one designed to foster the next generation of leaders. The mission of the new company: Build a Better World. With the desire to be a true builder, in 2015 Palmisano expanded with a heavy civil construction division and self-perform capabilities. The rapidly scaling boutique construction service provider achieved the original goal of being a leader in the Greater New Orleans region and in 2020 embarked on the next phase of the business plan with further expansion into additional market sectors and geographic regions. Palmisano sees an opportunity to innovate and influence the future of the construction industry. The long term goal of Palmisano remains relatively simple: to build a truly great construction company.
Wesley also founded Palmisano Foundation, a 501c3 focused on supporting education initiatives for the world’s next generation of great thinkers and doers – the youth in the communities we serve. Through a variety of service projects, Palmisano aims to be a force for social innovation, to solve problems, and to transform lives.
Stacey’s 20+ years of experience in AEC marketing includes operations, strategy, finance, and brand management. As Impetus’ Marketing Director, she works closely with the executive team to ensure clear brand image and consistent messaging. She participates on the Management and Strategic Planning Committees and values the extremely collaborative approach to marketing and innovation at Impetus.
Prior to transitioning to the construction side of the industry, Stacey led marketing departments at several high-profile architectural firms. This experience provided her with an appreciation and understanding of the design perspective and a desire to build collaborative relationships between architects and contractors. Stacey has been honored with a Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) national communications award for a corporate rebranding initiative and is a SMPS Southeast Louisiana Chapter Hall of Fame recipient. She currently serves on the chapter’s board of directors.
