Roadway and drainage improvements across 23 streets as part of the FEMA Recovery Roads Program.
The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works engaged Impetus (formerly Palmisano) to lead the demolition and repair for the Lake Terrace & Lake Oaks Roadways as part of the FEMA Recovery Roads Program. Underground work included demolition of the existing roadway, and excavation and base course installation for the new roadway. Drainage structures were rehabilitated, existing water main with concrete was abandoned, and 4,000 feet of new water main installed.
On the exterior, streets were repaired with asphalt concrete and concrete pavement, cold mill, and overlay. Concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and accessibility ramps were also repaired. In partnership with Mott Macdonald, this 24,000-linear-foot project was completed in 2019.
