Impetus’ Civil Team delivers site and terminal upgrades for the second-largest Ryder facility in Louisiana.
Ryder Systems Inc. engaged Impetus (formerly Palmisano) as the Design-Assist contractor to lead the terminal and site upgrades for Ryder’s new space in Elmwood, Louisiana. Upgrades to the 7-acre site included demolition to five existing buildings as well as 10,000-square-feet of stormwater retention systems and drainage.
Along with site grading, Impetus’ Civil team brought in 9,000 tons of new limestone, performed stone base work, concrete curb and gutter, and completed 137,000-square-feet of asphalt parking and paving. Finishing elements included striping, landscaping, fencing, and lighting. Completed in 2018, this 42,000-square-foot project was delivered in 8 months and is the second-largest Ryder facility in Louisiana.
